Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Supervise daily activities of the collections team, including task delegation, performance monitoring, and motivation.
- Collection Strategies: Design and implement effective strategies to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as delinquency rates, recovery percentages, and team performance metrics.
- Training & Development: Organize training and continuous coaching for team members to enhance their collection skills and compliance awareness.
- Compliance: Ensure all collection practices align with legal and company guidelines.
- Communication: Coordinate with internal departments and maintain clear communication within the team.
- Target Achievement: Set individual and team targets, and take responsibility for achieving monthly collection goals.
- Customer Handling: Resolve escalated customer issues with professionalism and maintain positive client relationships.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team.
- Collections Knowledge: Sound understanding of collections procedures, credit cycles, and recovery regulations.
- Analytical Abilities: Skill in data interpretation and using insights to guide decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and issue-resolution abilities.
- Software Skills: Good command of MS Office, especially Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years in collections or a similar role.
- Senior applicants with 10–15 years of experience may also be considered based on fit and leadership capacity.
