Role Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Treasury professional to lead fund-raising and liability management initiatives for our growing NBFC business. The role will be responsible for sourcing and securing funding from Banks, Financial Institutions, NBFCs, Mutual Funds, Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Family Offices, and other lending partners.The ideal candidate should have strong experience in debt syndication, lender acquisition, structured finance, liability management, and treasury fund-raising strategies within the NBFC, Banking, Financial Services, or Lending ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Raising & Liability Management

  • Drive fund-raising initiatives through Term Loans, Working Capital Facilities, Cash Credit Limits, Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), Securitization, Direct Assignment (DA), Co-Lending, and other debt instruments.
  • Identify, approach, and onboard new funding partners including Banks, NBFCs, Financial Institutions, Mutual Funds, AIFs, and Institutional Investors.
  • Manage end-to-end borrowing transactions from opportunity identification to fund disbursement and closure.
  • Prepare funding proposals, Information Memorandums (IMs), lender presentations, financial models, and investment decks.
  • Ensure optimum borrowing mix and cost of funds while maintaining adequate liquidity.

Lender Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective lenders.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Banks, Investors, Rating Agencies, Trustees, and Financial Institutions.
  • Negotiate funding terms, pricing, security structures, covenants, and documentation.
  • Manage lender due diligence processes and information requests.
  • Ensure timely compliance with lender reporting and covenant obligations.

Treasury Strategy & Business Development

  • Identify and evaluate new funding opportunities and liability products.
  • Support treasury planning, liquidity management, and balance sheet optimization.
  • Analyze market conditions, debt market trends, and interest rate movements.
  • Assist in developing liability diversification and fund-raising strategies.
  • Explore innovative funding structures to support business growth.

Structured Finance & Capital Markets

  • Support securitization transactions, direct assignment deals, co-lending arrangements, and structured debt transactions.
  • Coordinate with arrangers, legal advisors, trustees, rating agencies, and investors.
  • Assist in capital market fund-raising initiatives and debt issuance programs.
  • Monitor transaction timelines and ensure smooth execution.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, borrowing plans, and funding requirement projections.
  • Monitor borrowing limits, debt obligations, repayment schedules, and funding utilization.
  • Develop treasury MIS, funding dashboards, lender reports, and management presentations.
  • Track cost of funds and provide recommendations to optimize borrowing costs.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to RBI regulations, treasury policies, and funding-related compliance requirements.
  • Monitor covenant compliance, security cover requirements, and lender obligations.
  • Support internal, statutory, regulatory, and lender audits.
  • Identify funding and liquidity risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Business teams to facilitate transaction execution.
  • Coordinate documentation, due diligence, and approval processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely closure of funding transactions and post-disbursement compliance.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in Treasury Fund Raising, Liability Management, and Debt Syndication.
  • Proven track record of raising funds from Banks, NBFCs, Financial Institutions, Mutual Funds, and AIFs.
  • Knowledge of structured finance products including Securitization, Direct Assignment, Co-Lending, and NCDs.
  • Strong financial modeling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and networking capabilities.
  • Good understanding of RBI regulations and NBFC funding frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.

Educational Qualification

  • CA, CFA, MBA (Finance), FRM, or equivalent qualification.
  • Additional certifications in Treasury Management, Financial Markets, Structured Finance, or Risk Management will be preferred.

  • Total funds raised against annual targets.
  • Number of new lenders onboarded.
  • Improvement in borrowing mix and reduction in cost of funds.
  • Successful execution of funding transactions within timelines.
  • Lender relationship strength and retention.
  • Compliance with funding covenants and regulatory requirements.
  • Diversification of funding sources and liability profile.

Preferred Industry Background

Candidates from NBFCs, Housing Finance Companies (HFCs), Banks, FinTechs, Lending Platforms, Structured Finance Firms, Investment Banking, Debt Syndication Firms, Financial Institutions, or Treasury Consulting organizations will be strongly preferred.
