Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and target-driven Team Leader – Loan Collections to manage a team responsible for loan recovery and collection operations. The candidate will be responsible for achieving collection targets, monitoring team performance, ensuring timely recovery of overdue loan accounts, and maintaining compliance with banking policies and collection guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of loan collection executives to achieve assigned collection and recovery targets.
  • Monitor daily collection performance, productivity, and individual team member targets.
  • Drive recovery of overdue loan accounts through regular follow-ups and effective collection strategies.
  • Handle escalated cases, delinquent accounts, and complex customer issues.
  • Track team performance through daily reports, MIS, and collection dashboards.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to improve productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to banking policies, RBI guidelines, and ethical collection practices.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and management to improve collection efficiency and reduce overdue accounts.
  • Monitor field visits and tele-calling activities, wherever applicable.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities, customer interactions, and recovery status.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline; candidates with relevant banking or financial services experience will be preferred.
  • Prior experience in loan collections, recovery operations, or banking collection processes.
  • Experience in handling and managing a team of collection executives.
  • Strong knowledge of collection strategies, overdue accounts, and recovery processes.
  • Good communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage targets, team productivity, and collection performance.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel, MIS reporting, and collection management systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Candidates with experience in banks, NBFCs, or other financial services organizations.
  • Experience in managing loan collection teams across tele-calling and/or field collection operations.
  • Target-oriented professionals with a strong focus on recovery performance and team management.
