Position Title: Portfolio Manager – SME
Department: SME
Grade: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager / Manager / Senior Manager
Reporting To: Head – Portfolio Management
Business Unit: SME


Job Summary:

The Portfolio Manager – SME is responsible for managing and maintaining the existing SME customer portfolio. The role focuses on deepening client relationships, ensuring asset quality, meeting client business requirements, and generating fee-based income through cross-selling of bank products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing SME customer relationships in a profitable manner.
  • Maintain and improve the quality of existing SME assets.
  • Generate fee-based income through cross-selling of Trade Finance, Forex, and other banking products.
  • Increase portfolio width by acquiring new SME clients through references from existing customers.
  • Achieve trade finance volumes as per predefined targets.
  • Prepare, maintain, and regularly follow up on account plans for each assigned client.
  • Ensure strict call discipline and regular client interactions.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer queries and issues.
  • Identify Early Warning Signals (EWS) during client visits and share them with the immediate supervisor for prompt corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, processes, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualification:

Essential: Graduate in any discipline
Desired: MBA (preferred)

Experience:

Essential: Experience in portfolio management
Desired: Experience in SME portfolio management
