Industrial Painter

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces of gears and metal components by cleaning, sanding, and degreasing
• Apply primer, paint, and protective coatings using spray guns or manual methods
• Ensure uniform coating thickness and proper finish quality
• Operate and maintain painting equipment (spray guns, compressors, painting booths)
• Inspect painted parts for defects such as uneven coating, bubbles, or cracks
• Follow paint specifications, color codes, and job instructions
• Maintain proper drying and curing processes as per standards
• Adhere to safety procedures while handling paints, chemicals, and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness in the painting area and ensure proper disposal of waste materials

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10th pass / ITI (preferred in painting or related trade)
• Basic understanding of industrial painting techniques
• Knowledge of surface preparation and coating materials

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in industrial painting (preferably in manufacturing or engineering industry)

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of spray painting and coating techniques
• Ability to read basic job instructions and specifications
• Attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
• Physical stamina to handle manual work
• Awareness of safety practices and use of PPE

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in painting heavy machinery or gear components
• Knowledge of buffing, polishing, powder coating, or specialized coatings
• Familiarity with industrial finishing standards and processes

Working Conditions:

• Factory / plant environment
• Exposure to paints, fumes, and industrial equipment (with proper safety measures)

Salary:

• ₹22,000 – ₹28,000 per month
